This week I have succeeded to increase Alexa traffic rank for my blog after the 100k limit, and I have thought to share with you the secretes. I have my blog since March this year, when I first started blogging I didn’t know a lot about Alexa, SEO and other stuff like this; I had to take all from the beginning. I had to do a lot of work to be able to brake Alexa traffic rank 100k, at some point I didn’t even thought that I could succeed but I didn’t give up and I continued trying. Below I will present you the ways that I have tried to follow, some are good other are bad just try to learn from my mistakes.
Bad Ways to Increase Alexa Traffic Rank:
1. Traffic exchange programs
As I told you at the beginning I wasn’t too versatile in the blogging art. One day, while I was browsing the net I discovered the manual traffic exchange programs: it was the first time when I had seen something like this. At first, I was amazed of what they could do: you just have to click other sites and after that you will receive credits and transform them into traffic for your site. I have enrolled in 10 traffic exchange programs and I have started clicking sites. I was like a monkey: every night trying to hit as much as I could. This lasted for about 6 months ( I was not too bright ). I wasted precious time with this crap thinking that I would have something to gain, boy what a fool I was. And to be more foolish, I had enrolled in automatic traffic exchange programs too. After a month or so, I realized that this approach was not working. My recommendation is not to enroll in automatic or manual traffic exchange because Alexa will know and others as well, just try to put the time that you have to good use.
2. Content stealing:
I am not too proud to recognize this but at beginning I thought that it would be a good idea to steal some content from other blogs and post them on mine. I didn’t have so much inspiration regarding the subjects I had chosen for my blog and I though that I can “steal” some. Also, my English wasn’t so perfect and, at the moment, I am still trying to improve it. I started blogging with the desire to learn as much as I could about this world of SEO and finally I can say that I succeeded. So don’t steal content just try to be as original as you can even if your English skills are not that good.
Good Ways to Increase Alexa Traffic Rank:
1. Install Alexa Toolbar
Alexa is measuring traffic with the help of their toolbar, so install the toolbar on your browser, suggest your friends to install Alexa toolbar and visit your blog. Because Alexa is using the toolbar to measure traffic, it isn’t too reliable and it is not reflecting in a realistic manner, but, as many look at Alexa Traffic Rank, you have nothing to loose by increasing it.
2. Put Alexa Widget on Your Blog
Sincerely, I do not know if adding the widget to your blog will make any difference , but other webmasters recommends it and I have the widget on my blog from the beginning so it should work. The only thing that annoys me about this widget is that sometimes it can be very slow loading and will slow your site. Just try to put it at the bottom of your page.
3. Post on Webmaster Forums
Most likely, webmasters can drive traffic to your site and that traffic has Alexa toolbar installed. This will be an easy way to promote your site and in the same time build links and receive traffic. Also, you can learn a lot of things from this forums. Just give it a chance, you will have nothing to loose.
4. Join Entrecard
I know I have told you that traffic exchange programs are bad, but Entrecard is much more then a manual traffic exchange program. Entrecard is a community where you can promote your things, receive traffic, gain links, make free publicity and increase your Alexa rank. I joined Entrecard 2 months ago and from that point on I had only reasons to be content: I received a lot of traffic. Even if you think that the bounce rate might suffer, for me it wasn’t like that: on Entrecard was around 50%. I gained around 2000 links from Entrecard community’s users and also I built my own Entrecard community with Alexa toolbar installed: Entrecard Drops. If you are already an Entrecard member join my community and you will have only benefits.
5. Article writing
Try to write articles as often as you can and be original. Alexa will notice and you will have only to gain. Also try to optimize your articles for SEO as much you can in order to receive traffic from Google.
These are the ways I used to increase Alexa traffic rank after 100k limit, follow my steps and you will succeed.

Honestly speaking, what percent of total net users got alexa toolbar installed? 0.0001% or may be 0.00000%1 who knows, from this fact it is clear how inaccurate alexa stats are. Only google or top search engine can provide fairly accurate stats. I did not about Entrecard community, thanks for that.
i am still way behind the 100k mark; but that would be my goal for the coming year.

Looks like your English is good now, I don’t know how it was before. Congrats on making it below 100k in Alexa. I use CMF to help with advertising too – but not often, as I prefer to increase traffic as naturally if possible.

I have used this post as a guide and have found it has seriously improved my Alexa rank. I’ve also found EntreCard not only a great tool to increase traffic, but a wonderful source of many interesting blogs (like yours.)
Many of those are blogs which dofollow, so it does encourage people to add comments. I just added ComLuv to my blog yesterday and have started getting more real comments today than what I had gotten in three months.
