Useful tips when creating the tile:
- Use keywords related to your web page in the Title Tag.
- Try to keep your title not longer then 60-70 character long.
- Title Tag must be free of spelling and grammar errors.
- Always add a unique Title Tag for different pages.
- Make your title enticing so that you can attract as much user as you can.
- Don’t try to stuff to many keywords into the tile and don’t repeat them.
- Using your title tag as H1 header can be very valuable.

These are some good points. I notice that the more time I put into the title the more views that particle posts gets. It’s two fold, a better title leads to better search engine traffic as well as more views to that article from regular readers.

The H2, H3… are also important – good to include your main keywords in it.
Now, for repeating, I’m not really sure. I have seen sites ranked incredibly high with the keywords mentioned in H1 2-3 times. I guess that 2 time is ok. 3, maybe not. I would avoid stuffing too.

Thus instead of using title “information” which doesn’t provide any relevancy give some more relevant words or phrases like title “web application development information” . Every word in the title tag must be contained some whereon the page they are used for. Your goal is to promote your web page and read it by your desired audience. Title tag will help you to achieve this. Just try to keep your titles readable, inviting, and with the correct use and placement of keyword phrases a huge first step towards gaining desired placement and visits.

What are peoples thoughts on using the delimiter ( | ) in title tags?
I have heard that its good for giving the google bot a real indication of what your KWs are, on the other hand it doesn’t provide for a good sales pitch for clickthroughs.
