Today I was looking on the internet to find ways to increase my alexa ranking, currently Bit Doze is ranked on 1.000.000. This is not a very good position so I am trying to increase it.
First we going to talk about what is Alexa and for what is used for:
Alexa.com defines themselves as “the web information company,” but to webmasters and bloggers, they are so much more. Essentially, Alexa is a company that measures web traffic on almost every website on the internet through their increasingly popular toolbar plugin. This becomes an important element in leveraging your blog’s ranking as a sell point to advertisers, sponsors, buyers, readers and whoever else wants a piece of your material.
Webmasters, advertisers and ad networks use your blog’s Alexa rank as a gauge to determine the worth of a link on your website. If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you’ll definitely want to increase your Alexa rank, because it’ll increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.
ReviewMe, Text Link Ads and Sponsored Reviews are just three of the networks which base your ad selling strength on Alexa Ranks.
Now lets see in what way to increase your alexa rank:
- Write grate content and not try to steal from another site because they will know and your site could have problems with Google PR.
- Write post at least once a day and your Alexa Rank will grow considerable, also this is a grate way to keep close your readers.
- Enter in a click exchange program this will help. You can find an article about this here: Traffic Exchange Ranking
- Put up an Alexa rank widget on your website. According to some, each click counts as a visit even if the toolbar is not used by the visitor.
- Get friends to review and rate your Alexa website profile. Not entirely sure of its impact on rankings but it might help in some way.
- Social Media submit your site to more social media as you can.
Some of this I have already tried and it’s works grate in one mount I have succeed to come from 2.500.000 position to 1.000.000 from now on thing will be more hard to do but I am confident that with work and a little of luck everything can be done.

if we target to SEO do we still need to consider alexa. Because of course if we are in page One of google, alexa will be raised itself..

I have used this method before and is good to increas alexa rank.
Thanks again for the tuts
Alexa is very important in your Google Pagerank from what I have read. The problem a lot of website owners usually have is the fact they have a website for an offline business. Most of the US businesses are small biz with very targeted traffic.
Intresting information, look to my site and comments, rate. Site is avalible Rapidshare Search Enigne here.
I’m not recommend you to use traffic exchange if you are an AdSense publisher bro. All your tips is work for me, when I’m starting my blog about 4 months a go my rank about 1.6xx.xxx now I’m 120.xxx and still going, I hope my alexa rank will under 100.000 at the end of this month.
Good luck for you bro.

Great information. I need to increase my alexa rank and page rank of my website.
I can verify that putting an Alexa widget on your blog or site makes a difference. Within just a week or so, you’ll note a big difference… apparently, the toolbar users are only a percentage of the visitors to your site – but if you have the widget, it reports back to Alexa on EVERY visitor – so Alexa is suddenly seeing far more traffic.
I’m sure that they must take that into account, but your Alexa rating *WILL* improve dramatically if you stick the Alexa widget on…
Give it a try! (and no, I’ve no relation whatsoever to Alexa!)

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That?s a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be

I was a consultant for years, and am currently an inhouse SEO. In addition to all of the SEO I am also responsible for directing all of the web marketing and traditional communications. I will say that I do havea sense of panic about being spread thin and not staying on top of all of the latest trends and best practices. Dedicating time to participating in blogs and forums certainly helps relieve some of this panic. There is something to be said about the diversity in your skill set as a consultant as well as the ability to test and measure new tactics.Great post!
How much does Alexa ranking really matter though?

A good Alexa or Google PR is very necessary especially if you have a new website or blog. Thank you for the information on how to improve rankings.
