After some complains that Bit Doze is having a slow load I have decide to upgrade to WordPress 3.0, I’ve prefaced to wait some time after the wordpress 3.0 lunch so that I can see how he is comporting on live systems. So after I have seen that no problems appeared I have decided to do the upgrade.
First step it was to back up the database so that any problem appeared after the upgrade to be able to rollback.
Second step was to make a backup of the files that ware in the past.
Third step was to disable all the plugins.
Forth step was the upgrade.
I can mention that everything gone smoothly during the upgrade and after the WordPress installation finished all the plugin that I ware using ware compatible.I hope that wordpress 3.0 will be a little faster.

As a web developer, the feature that excites in wp 3 me most is managing multiple sites under one install. This is huge, if for no other reason than to cut down the number of passwords I have to remember on a daily basis.
Even the dropdown feature is really cool in this update, I m even using the multisite feature in one of my site

I always wait a few weeks after a new WordPress update comes out till everything gets fixed and compatible with plugins. There always seems to be some kind of compatible issue and takes some time till they get it fixed. Anyone else have this problem?
WordPress 3.0 is a great step in moving forward. That’s a cool change.

I usually wait to upgrade as well, but WordPress 3.0 is stable and quick. Thanks for the step-by-step rundown, too. Sometimes I forget backup and plugins.
